(floppy, hard disk, CD-ROM, CD-R, DVD) are for, how to launch applications, how
to use the Taskbar and Start Menu, how to create new files and folders and save
to those new directories, and how to customize your desktop (what you see on the
monitor!) to your personal preferences. Let us help you join the age of
information technology!
Operating System Installation and Configuration for Your Small Computer
System

again. This time, you'll learn how to partition and format your hard disk into
separate storage and boot areas, and how to add and remove hardware components
and software programs.
Troubleshooting and Maintaining Your Small Computer System
Tired of calling an "expert" and paying high prices to fix your PC hardware and software problems? Put away the phone
and register for this course that puts "I" into "can do!" Learn basic and beyond
hardware and software troubleshooting techniques in this 24-hour, hands-on
course that will teach you how to recognize and recover from operating system
and other software problems, schedule preventive maintenance, and identify and
resolve hardware conflicts and other peripheral problems, including printers. As
a bonus, you'll learn how to replace and upgrade existing components, add RAM,
install, configure and customize backup media and anti-virus software products,
and protect your small computer system through the use of Internet security that
features firewalls and proxy software.
