Puzzle Tips

Want to solve Wordrow puzzles more consistently? These proven strategies can help you uncover the hidden word faster and make every guess count.

Start with a word that tests common letters.

Your first guess should include frequently used vowels and consonants. Words with letters such as A, E, R, S, T, and N often reveal valuable clues early in the puzzle.

Consider all possible word forms.

If you’ve identified several letters, think about different prefixes, suffixes, and word endings. Small changes can create entirely different valid words.

Use every clue from every guess.

Pay close attention to which letters are correct, misplaced, or not in the word at all. Every result narrows the possibilities and brings you closer to the solution.

Make every guess strategic.

Don’t guess randomly. Each word should either test new letters, confirm a suspected pattern, or eliminate multiple possibilities at once.

Avoid repeating eliminated letters.

Once a letter has been ruled out, don’t use it again unless you’re testing a specific possibility. Focus your guesses on new information rather than repeating old mistakes.

Think about common letter patterns.

Many words contain familiar combinations such as TH, CH, SH, ING, ER, or ED. Looking for common patterns can help you identify the hidden word more quickly.
